I live in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and work as a financial analyst for the local healthcare system, after spending four years working in finance for public broadcasting.  Previously, I've worked as a professional stage manager, studied massage therapy, pulled perfect espresso shots in a small coffeehouse with a dread-locked dude named Dominic, taken trapeze lessons, broken my fibula in an accident with a pale blue Gremlin, hosted a house concert, and learned cajun dancing with my dad at Glen Echo Park.

I crack myself up, sing in the shower, often arrive five minutes late, make a mighty fine split pea soup, ask a thousand questions, and sometimes talk too fast. 

I love a good story, camp out for meteor showers, speak very little Italian, and annually plan spectacular flower and vegetable gardens that never quite make it to the harvesting stage.

I enjoy art history and anthropology.  Sprickets (spider crickets) give me the heebie jeebies – yet I still gently trap them and set them free outside, all the while doing the “ick, gross, UGH” shimmy.  I'm a big fan of things with wings, six-year-old minds, and peach/mango salsa.
